MARCELLE SEABOURNE ARTIST
Influences
After my mother, who painted softly toned watercolours of local scenes in Northamptonshire when I was a child, perhaps my most formative influence stems from my aunt and uncle. They have encouraged and inspired me to become a full-time artist and I always enjoy visiting galleries and talking about other artists with them (Paul Cezanne, Gwen John, Winifred Nicholson, Georgio Morandi, Paul Klee, Euan Uglow, Richard Diebenkorn to name but a few). Our conversations about perception, artistic ideas and my own work continue to prompt me to think, learn and develop.
